Excursions with a topic

Discover the charms of the Jura landscapes. Your outing starts in St-Cergue and takes you to the heart of the “Parc Jurassien Vaudois” by walking on the “Chemin des Crêtes”. After a break on the foot of the mountain Crêt de la Neuve, the path leads you towards the Marchairuz Pass. There, you may quench your thirst at the “Maison du Parc”. The yellow postal bus takes you back to Nyon.

This excursion allows you to discover some traditional and original activities of our region. After an early wake-up you depart form Nyon by train to St-Cergue from where you’ll take a 1 hour walk to the mountain chalet Les Fruitières. Do not hesitate to enter and watch the work of the cheese maker. You will then head down to Basse Ruche where you have the opportunity to try out various sports and fun activities. Afterwards, it is time to take the train to Bassins for a visit of the aromatic plant distillery.

Embedded between the villages of Genolier and Vich, Nature lovers can appreciate beautiful trails in the forest of "Bois de Chênes". It is accessible by train from Genolier and by bus from Vich. The wide open forest offers picnic and barbecue places for the whole family. After a nice meal you can follow the "Toblerones path" towards the lake shore and appreciate a refreshing swim in the lake of Geneva at the beach of "Promenthoux".

We invite you to a day trip which offers you a fantastic panorama both from the top of the Jura chain and from the lake shore. The day starts with a train journey to St-Cergue. You then take a beautiful walk up to the summit of La Barillette where you can enjoy your pick nick and an extraordinary view of the Mont Blanc. You make your way back to St-Cergue and Nyon after that and close your day with a refreshing pedalo outing on the lake.

This excursion is a mix of both cultural and natural elements and starts off with a visit of the Swiss National Museum Château de Prangins, continues with a tour of the Garenne Zoo in Le Vaud and finally comes to an end with a walk along the famous «Toblerone» trail.
