Cultural day in Nyon
Description
Nyon offers 3 museums to all cultural, patrimony and tradition lovers. Start with the "Musée du Léman" which is the only one that shows the culture and nature of the most important lake of western Europe. Continue with the roman museum. There you will dive into the heart of the roman city Novidunum, which was founded by Julius Cesar himself. And last but not least, end your tour in the beautiful recently renovated castle. You can enjoy a magnificent porcelaine exposition and walk thru the history of Nyon in the historical museum. At the end of the visit the wine cellar invites you to taste some excellent wines from the region.
An afternoon off the beaten tracks
Nyon - Barillette - Bonmont - Chiblins
Description
This trip takes you to rather unknown, but not less interesting sites. In the early afternoon you can drive up the windy road towards the Jura and reach at an altitude of 1’500m above sea level a marvellous point of view. You can enjoy the sight of the Alps and the lake and have a picnic. On your way down follow the signs for "Bonmont" and visit the abbey of the Cistercian. Then go on towards Chiblins and visit the agricultural Museum of western Switzerland to conclude the day.

Nyon - Yvoire - Prangins - (Bassins) - Nyon
Description
Your outing starts at the castle of Nyon and its vegetable garden. A path nearby leads you through the municipal gardens of la Duche down to the lake. Don’t hesitate to make a small detour to admire the floral mosaic in the Bourg de Rive Park. You then embark for Yvoire to visit the sumptuous “Garden of the Five Senses”. Back in Nyon, we invite you to head for neighboring Prangins in order to visit the Swiss National Museum and its historic vegetable garden. Or you may want to discover the “Espace Gasser” in Bassins.

Nyon - Divonne - Coppet - Nyon
Description
The French thermal resort Divonne-les-Bains is only a few kilometers away from Nyon. Treat yourself one morning to a stroll through the weekly market. Before returning to Nyon, you should pass by Coppet, a pretty lakeside village, well known for its castle. You get back to Nyon by taking a CGN boat, or simply by train.
