Tintin in Nyon
Description
The Calculus affair was published by Hergé in 1956. One of the greatest comic strip cartoonists of the 20th century had chosen Switzerland, and in particular Nyon, to add spice to the plot of the disappearance of Professor Calculus. What is more, this character is inspired by the scientist Auguste Piccard, grandfather of Bertrand Piccard, himself a lover of Tintin!

The ice cave of St-George
Description
The ice cave is an interesting site of St-George and is one of the most significant of the Jura. The underground cave can be reached with several ladders. The visitor will discover a cave whose ground is constantly frozen and snow covered, with a length of 20 m, 12 m width and 8 m height. Stalactites and stalagmites decorate this beautiful curiosity.
The sawmill from St-George
Description
Don’t miss a visit to the sawmill in St-George. The mill was already mentioned in 1548. It is equipped with a hydraulic saw which was installed in 1816. The two close by ponds feed the giant wheel of 6,50 m with water.

The limekiln from St-George
Description
The limekiln dates back to 1857 and has been restored for the 700th anniversary of the Confederation in 1991. Lime is extracted from limestone and was used for construction works until the 14th century. Guided tours and explanation about the extraction of lime from limestone.

Description
Explore an unsual itinerary leading from the Féchy vineyards to the Marchairuz pass and discover sculptures and paintings created by Paul Monney, thanks to his imagination and sense of observation. They are made of raw wood on the themes of regional human activity and local wildlife.
