Château le Rosey is one of the oldest wine-growing estates in the region known as “la Côte”, and  dates back to the Middle Ages. The characteristics of its vineyards reflect centuries of quest and commitment to matching the vines to the qualities of the soil and weather: the Rosey’s original vine stocks were planted in the thirteenth century by the very first owners of the château. Generations of vine-growing families have been enjoying the estate’s wines ever since.

12 km from Geneva airport and 10 km away from Nyon. In the 17th century, an innkeeper set up an inn in Coppet near the lake. He called it "Hôtel d'Orange" because he wished to flatter the owner oh the Château de Coppet, whose ancestor had been the governor of Orange. The lovely original sign still graces the front of the building.
